Mark LeQuire, M.D., a Montgomery radiologist, was sworn in as the new president of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama during the Association’s annual meeting on Friday, April 11.

Dr. LeQuire is a physician partner with Montgomery Radiology Associates and has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years.

“Being a physician is a calling—one that requires compassion, dedication and a lifelong commitment to our patients’ well-being,” said Dr. LeQuire. “Every physician, regardless of specialty, shares a deep responsibility to provide the best possible care, to advocate for our patients and to uphold the highest standards of medicine. I’m honored to lead the Medical Association in its mission to support Alabama’s physicians and improve healthcare for all.”

He served the past year as president-elect of the Medical Association under President Amanda Williams, M.D., whose term has expired.

Dr. LeQuire earned his medical doctorate from the University of Alabama’s School of Medicine in 1982. He previously served as Chairman of the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.

The Medical Association of the State of Alabama is the largest professional organization representing physicians in Alabama, working to advance the practice of medicine, protect the physician-patient relationship and advocate for policies that improve healthcare access and quality.
