ProgressPAC, the Business Council of Alabama’s pro-jobs political affiliate, announced Monday its endorsement of Heath Allbright in the upcoming special election for District 11 in the Alabama House of Representatives. The Alabama Forestry Association also announced its endorsement of Allbright for the special election.
“As a lifelong resident of Cullman County and a successful small business owner, Heath Allbright truly understands what it takes to drive economic growth and create opportunities for local families and businesses,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Gary Smith.
“Heath’s firsthand experience as an entrepreneur gives him the unique perspective needed to champion policies that foster a thriving business community and a stronger workforce. With a proven track record of service and a deep commitment to the values that matter most to his district, Heath is the best choice to replace Representative Randall Shedd. He will be a powerful advocate for District 11, ensuring that pro-business priorities are at the forefront of the legislature,” Smith shared.
Allbright is the owner of Brighton Forestry Services, a timber harvesting and reforestation company in Cullman County. He has been the proud owner of his forest products company for 13 years and has been active with AFA throughout that time.
“It’s an honor to be endorsed by the Alabama Forestry Association,” said Allbright. “As the owner of a small business in the timber industry, I know the major impact forestry has on our state, the jobs it creates, and the families it supports. I will work each day to ensure Alabama’s forest products industry is protected from over regulation and supported in every way possible so they can continue serving as one of our state’s largest industries.”
“AFA is pleased to have a forest industry professional running for the House of Representatives,” said Chris Isaacson, President and CEO of AFA. “Heath’s experience as a business owner as well as his service on the Cullman County Board of Education provides him a deep understanding of the issues and challenges facing Alabama’s rural communities. This experience will make him an effective advocate for small businesses and the communities that depend on their success.”
The Business Council of Alabama’s ProgressPAC and the Alabama Forestry Association show confidence that Allbright will effectively represent and advocate for the best interests of the district. Allbright is seeking to replace Representative Randall Shedd who has stepped down to join the office of Alabama’s president pro-tem, Senator Garlan Gudger. Currently, Don Fallin has also qualified for the Republican special primary.
