Tuesday, Brian Gunn officially announced his candidacy for Birmingham City Council, District 4, bringing a track record of action, progress, and community-driven leadership to City Hall. “With extensive experience in public engagement, policy advocacy, and service on boards dedicated to public safety, education, and city planning, Gunn is committed to ensuring every resident of District 4 has a voice in shaping its future,” the release stated.
“District 4 deserves leadership that listens, takes action, and delivers results,” said Gunn. “This campaign will prioritize public safety, infrastructure improvements, and the success of local businesses. I’m ready to work alongside our residents to make meaningful progress.”
Gunn’s campaign will focus on public safety, community development, small business growth, and education/workforce development. “His experience in economic development and policy has emphasized accountability, collaboration, and delivering tangible outcomes that empower residents to play an active role in shaping Birmingham’s future,” the release shared.
A lifelong advocate for stronger neighborhoods and economic opportunity, Gunn says he is committed to revitalizing infrastructure, fostering small business success, and improving public safety.
“I believe in the power of community,” said Gunn. “Together, we can build a District 4 that reflects our values and becomes more resilient for generations to come.”
The campaign will officially launch at Woodlawn Theatre on Feb. 25, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. Brian Gunn will share his plans and vision for District 4 at the event. Other speakers will include community members, local business owners, and residents invested in Birmingham’s future.
