Alabama Arise has worked for more than 35 years to build a state where the people are engaged in the policymaking process and where all public officials are responsive to the public. To help advance those efforts, Arise is co-hosting a community conversation in Fairhope to lift up residents’ concerns and hopes for the 2025 legislative session.

Alabama Arise and the Baldwin County NAACP will co-sponsor a community meeting Monday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship. Members of the general public are welcome and invited to the entire event.

Improving access to health care and protecting voting rights will be among the many issues facing lawmakers when the Alabama Legislature’s Regular Session begins Feb. 4. The Fairhope event will present an opportunity for residents to build their advocacy skills and share their thoughts and ideas on these challenges and others affecting their communities.
