Rep. Strong’s statement on 119th Congress speaker election

Strong issued the following statement after voting for Mike Johnson to be speaker.

Rep. Dale Strong

Representative Dale W. Strong, AL-05, issued the following statement after voting for Mike Johnson to be Speaker of the House and taking the oath of office for the 119th Congress:

“We have a very thin majority and no time to waste. It’s clear the American people want change. Everybody understands the southern border has to be secure; we have to deal with our crippling debt and restore common sense policies to bring down inflation. We have a mandate to support President Trump’s agenda, and I want to get to work as soon as possible. I’m looking forward to accomplishing real change for North Alabamians during this Congress and that includes bringing Space Command to Redstone Arsenal.”
