Rep. Barry Moore, AL-02, has unveiled a series of significant staff changes, highlighting promotions within his congressional office and the addition of a new team member.
Madison Green has been promoted to Chief of Staff, while Marshall Macheledt will assume the roles of Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director. Emery Washington has been named Communications Director, and Taylor Keel has been elevated to Legislative Assistant, overseeing the Agriculture Committee portfolio. Additionally, Brittany Young joins the team as Scheduler.

Moore. “Their experience and understanding of our office’s mission will ensure a seamless transition as they take on these new responsibilities.”
Madison Green-Gentile, a two-time University of Alabama alumna and former staffer in President Trump’s first administration, steps into the role of Chief of Staff after serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Rep. Moore.
Marshall Macheledt will continue to lead the legislative team in his new position as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director. Previously a senior legislative assistant for Rep. Jim Jordan, OH-04, the current Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Macheledt will oversee a portfolio that includes crime and law enforcement, election security, FEMA, oversight, and Second Amendment issues.
Emery Washington, previously Digital Director and Press Secretary for Rep. Moore, will now serve as Communications Director. Washington brings additional campaign experience as a former communications staffer for the 2024 Donald J. Trump for President campaign.
Taylor Keel, a native of Slocomb, Alabama, advances to Legislative Assistant, focusing on key issues such as Agriculture, Animal Welfare, Broadband, Environment, Food, and Natural Resources. Keel’s prior roles include Legislative Aide, Constituent Correspondent, and Staff Assistant in Rep. Moore’s office.
Brittany Young, a Texas native, joins the team as Scheduler. Young previously served as a staff and press assistant for Rep. Bob Good, VA-05, the former Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.
These appointments signal Rep. Moore’s emphasis on experience and continuity within his team as he continues to serve Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District.
