In recognition of his commitment to public safety, the Alabama Rescue Squad Association has named Representative Parker Moore “Legislator of the Year” for 2024. This honor highlights Moore’s contributions to enhancing public safety and supporting rescue services across Alabama.

“I am humbled by the honor of being named legislator of the year by the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads,” Moore said. “Serving in the Alabama Legislature is one of the greatest privileges of my life, and this award only strengthens my resolve to continue working hard on behalf of the people I represent. I am committed to making meaningful progress on the issues that matter most to our communities, and I will continue to advocate for solutions that improve lives and strengthen our state.”

One of Moore’s recent legislative achievements was the passage of HB 46 during the 2024 Regular Session, in partnership with State Senator Arthur Orr. This bill provides Alabama rescue squads with permanent license plate tags, ensuring a new stream of financial support for essential life-saving equipment and additional personnel. HB 46 was signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey on May 9, 2024.

“Statewide public safety is an issue I’ve diligently worked to improve since being elected,” Moore noted. “I’m proud to say that we, as a legislative body, have and are, delivering on this important topic each and every session. The people of House District 4, as well as everyone in our great state, deserve nothing less than a safe place to call home.”

Representative Moore represents House District 4, covering parts of Limestone, Madison, and Morgan Counties. He currently serves on multiple committees, including the Boards, Agencies, and Commissions Committee, the Joint Transportation Committee, and the Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure Committee. Additionally, he is Vice Chairman of the Committee on Fiscal Responsibility and Limestone County Legislation.
