With the General Election just days away, the Alabama Republican Party is intensifying efforts to secure victories for GOP candidates across the state, marking one of the party’s most ambitious campaigns in recent years. The Alabama GOP has identified more than 40 target races, focusing particular attention on newly redrawn congressional districts while also extending support to the Trump campaign in key battleground states nearby.

One of the focal points of the Republican effort this season is Alabama’s Congressional District 2, which gained national attention after a federal court-ordered redistricting shifted the district’s status from reliably Republican to leaning Democratic. In response, the Alabama GOP has ramped up campaign initiatives, deploying a range of strategies, including voter registration drives, volunteer recruitment, and targeted Get Out the Vote operations, to boost support for Republican nominee Caroleene Dobson ahead of the November 5 election.

The party’s recent actions in District 2 include a robust direct mail campaign, featuring eight separate mailers that highlight Dobson’s qualifications and leadership while cautioning against the implications of a potential Democratic majority in Washington.

“We are not going to give up or surrender any districts to the Democrat Party,” said Alabama GOP Chair John Wahl. “Our goal is to stand strong for the people of Alabama and explain to them why the values of the Republican Party best serve them and their families in the coming years. We all know that the policies of the Democrat Party have failed the people of America and the people of Alabama. It is the Republican Party that has a record of defending and helping our state. Our party cut the grocery tax, passed school choice, and helped create much-needed jobs for communities across Alabama. Next Tuesday, there is a clear choice. Republicans will rebuild our economy, reduce inflation, secure our borders, and protect our children from transgender ideologies. We will always defend your God-given rights and freedoms, and we will put America first again.”
