With election day approaching, Alabama’s Secretary of State Wes Allen is encouraging voters to use the state’s official election information website, AlabamaVotes.gov, to confirm details before heading to the polls on November 5.

“AlabamaVotes.gov makes several important tools available to Alabama’s voters,” Allen said in a statement. “Before heading to the polls on November 5, I would encourage all Alabama voters to visit our website and verify their voter registration status and polling location.”

The website offers a range of resources for Alabama voters, including verification of voter registration status, polling location lookup, and tracking capabilities for those voting absentee. Additionally, voters can access a sample ballot specific to their county and find information on Alabama’s photo ID requirements. “Our website also provides those who voted absentee the ability to track their absentee ballot,” Allen added. “You can also view the sample ballot for your county and read up on Alabama’s photo ID requirements for voting on our website.”

On election day, polling places statewide will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with voters required to present a valid form of photo identification. Cumulative election results will be accessible through *AlabamaVotes.gov* once polls close.

In his capacity as Alabama’s 54th Secretary of State, Wes Allen oversees elections and carries out more than 1,000 duties outlined under Alabama law. For more information on the responsibilities of the Secretary of State, Allen encourages the public to visit: www.sos.alabama.gov.
