The Business Council of Alabama has announced that Nick Saban will be the keynote speaker at this year’s ‘Evening for Progress’ event. Set to take place on October 16th in Birmingham, this gathering promises an unforgettable evening with one of Alabama’s most iconic figures in sports and business.

Will Wilson, Chairman of ProgressPAC, made the announcement at BCA’s annual Government Affairs Conference, stating, “The greatest football coach of all time, the legendary Coach Nick Saban, will be joining us in Birmingham at the Evening for Progress on October 16th. Now that Coach is retired, every chance we get to hear him is exciting, and trust me, this will be a night you don’t want to miss.”

As the former head coach of the University of Alabama’s football team, Nick Saban has become a symbol of excellence and perseverance through his career and leadership. Beyond his sports achievements, Saban also brings valuable business acumen as the co-owner of several Mercedes Benz dealerships across the Southeast, including Birmingham. His experiences in both sports and business are sure to reach and engage attendees, making this year’s event “one of the most memorable in recent history,” BCA stated.

BCA’s ProgressPAC has set a goal for its fundraising efforts, aiming to raise $4 million for the 2026 election cycle to support its latest political initiative, Campaign 2026. Wilson highlighted the importance of the upcoming 2026 elections in Alabama, noting, “Ladies and gentlemen, it is clear here today that the upcoming 2026 election will be historic. In 2026, our voters are going to shape the course of our government for the next decade.”
