Monday evening, U.S. Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell, AL-07, Alabama’s State Delegation Chair to the Democratic National Convention, announced that Alabama’s Delegation has voted unanimously to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to serve as the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States.

“Alabama’s delegates are all in for Kamala Harris!” said Delegation Chair Terri A. Sewell. “We are immensely grateful to President Biden for his transformative leadership and we look forward to continuing his legacy of accomplishment under Vice President Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris is exceptionally qualified, battle-tested, and ready to prosecute the case against Donald Trump, and win. In the spirit of unity and progress, we look forward to an energizing convention where we will cast our votes to make Kamala Harris our Democratic Nominee and the next President of the United States.”

Also on Monday, Rep. Terri A. Sewell endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States.

“I have gotten to know Vice President Kamala Harris as a colleague, a sorority sister, and a friend. She never backs away from a fight, and her experience, tenacity, and grit make her the ideal candidate to win this election and lead our nation forward. During her time as Vice President, she has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to protecting and advancing our Civil Rights legacy, having joined us to commemorate Bloody Sunday in Selma not once but twice. She stood with us when it mattered most, and I am proud to stand with her.

“No one better understands the stakes of this election than the people of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. We have come too far to let Donald Trump and MAGA extremists roll back our extraordinary progress. Kamala Harris is the right person for this moment, and I will do everything in my power, from now until November, to make her the next President of the United States,” Rep. Sewell concluded.
