Andy Blalock, a former candidate for United States Congress in Alabama’s 5th congressional district, announced Wednesday he would chair a new chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans conservative organization in Huntsville, AL.
The Log Cabin Republicans is “the nation’s original and largest organization representing LGBT conservatives and straight allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans. Log Cabin Republicans has state and local chapters nationwide, full-time staff in Washington, DC, a federal political action committee, and state political action committees.” In the about section of this organization’s page it states that “we are loyal Republicans. We believe in limited government, strong national defense, free markets, low taxes, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. Log Cabin Republicans represent an important part of the American family—taxpaying, hard-working people who proudly believe in this nation’s greatness.”
Blalock stated that he hopes “more people will visit Log Cabin Republicans national page at www.logcabin.org to learn more about this organization and consider joining the Alabama chapter. This is certainly a time when the Republican Party needs all conservatives regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, etc to fight the leftist extreme liberal agenda.
