Alabama businessman Gerrick Wilkins is set to formally announce his candidacy for Alabama’s 6th District, taking on the current representative, Congressman Gary Palmer.

Wilkins, motivated by what he perceives as the “failed policies of career politicians,” has decided to step into the political arena. Drawing from his deep-seated values of community service and personal faith, he frequently cites President Ronald Reagan’s adage, “We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”

A committed Christian, Wilkins says his faith plays a pivotal role in his life choices. He is actively involved in his local church, participates in global missionary activities, and collaborates with renowned charitable entities like Gideons International.

With a professional background rooted in the automotive sector, Wilkins say he will bring a unique perspective to the political scene. He is calling for a shift in the political landscape, urging the public to break away from entrenched career politicians and to support and champion citizen lawmakers instead.
