Manufacture Alabama announced its endorsement of Judge Chris McCool on Thursday for the Alabama Supreme Court.

“We are proud to endorse Judge McCool for the Alabama Supreme Court. As a native of rural Alabama, he understands the positive impact of the manufacturing industry to our state,” said George Clark, President of Manufacture Alabama. “His expertise in handling complex legal issues and his commitment to upholding the rule of law make him an ideal candidate for this critical position.”

Since 2018, Judge McCool has served on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. He is a lifelong resident of Pickens County, Alabama. After graduating from the University of Alabama summa cum laude in 1990, Judge McCool went on to graduate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1993. Since then, he has served in various leadership roles in public service, including as the president, vice president, and treasurer of the Alabama District Attorneys Association.

“In addition to his public service, Judge McCool has also handled numerous felony cases and trials both in private practice and as a prosecutor. He was instrumental in bringing a Drug Court to the 24th Judicial Circuit,” they stated. Judge McCool and his wife, Sherri, have been married since 1992 and have four children, three of whom are married, and one grandson.

“I am honored to receive Manufacture Alabama’s endorsement of my candidacy for the Alabama Supreme Court,” states Judge Chris McCool. “As one of our state’s largest associations, Manufacture Alabama represents hundreds of companies that are a vital component of Alabama’s economy and job base. I share their business-minded, conservative ideals and greatly appreciate this strong support of my campaign.”
