House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter endorses Republican Court of Criminal Appeals Judge Chris McCool in his candidacy for the Alabama Supreme Court.

“Conservative judges like Chris McCool are our last line of defense against the radical left and their woke agenda,” states Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter. “He interprets the law as written instead of manufacturing it from the bench. Judge McCool has earned my endorsement because he shares our Alabama values and rules on cases with a commonsense, clear-headed approach.”

“I’m honored and humbled to receive Speaker Ledbetter’s support in my campaign to serve on the Alabama Supreme Court,” states Judge Chris McCool. “During my years as a prosecutor and judge, I have always relied on my faith and respect for the law to be my guiding light, and I’m grateful for colleagues that share these same values. I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of such an honest leader like Speaker Ledbetter.”

Judge McCool is seeking the Republican Party nomination for an open seat on the Alabama Supreme Court in the March 2024 primary election. This seat is currently held by Associate Justice Sarah Stewart, who has announced her candidacy for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice.
