The Alabama Realtors’ Political Action Committee, the political arm of the Alabama Association of Realtors, has made its endorsement of candidates for the runoff election to be held on June 21. The association said the candidates endorsed exhibit a commitment to home ownership, private property rights, and economic growth and development.
The Alabama Association of Realtors is the largest statewide organization of real estate professionals with more than 19,000 members from 24 local boards and 1,200 real estate companies. United by adherence to a Code of Ethics, its members work as real estate professionals in the sale, lease, appraisal and development of residential, commercial, rural and resort properties throughout Alabama.

State House of Representatives

The National Association of Realtors’ Political Action Committee has also announced who it will be supporting for the Alabama U.S. House of Representatives and Senate races. The National Association of Realtors was founded in 1908, and is America’s largest trade association with approximately 1.5 million members including NAR’s five commercial real estate institutes and its societies and councils. The Realtors are involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries and belong to one or more of some 1,400 local associations or boards, and 54 state and territory associations of Realtors.

Tuesday is the final day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail, with June 16 being the last day to apply for a ballot in person. The runoff will be on June 21.
