Trump not coming to Mobile after all

The tour company had previously called off a rally set for Birmingham on June 18.

At first, former President Donald Trump was coming to a rally in Birmingham, then that was off and he would instead come to Mobile, and then he wasn’t anymore.

American Freedom Tour in a Thursday email first reported by AL.com said the July 9 appearance in Mobile was off.

“Sorry President Trump will not be in Mobile Alabama,” the email reads, according to AL.com, further stating that the organizers are planning a country wide tour and will be announcing dates as they become available.

Trump had been slated to attend a rally in Birmingham on June 18, then the company announced the trip was canceled citing only “unforeseen circumstances.”

American Freedom Tour never announced locations for either the Birmingham or Mobile rallies.

Trump in March pulled his endorsement of U.S. Rep Mo Brooks, R-Alabama, in the Senate race. Trump met with Brooks’s opponent, Katie Britt, at Mar-A-Lago in February, but hasn’t yet endorsed anyone else in the race.
