Representing Alabama credit unions and their more than 2.3 million members, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) is proud to announce the endorsement of Katie Britt for United States Senate.
“We are incredibly proud to support Katie Britt in her race for U.S. Senate. Britt has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to standing up for Alabama small businesses and financial institutions,” announced Patrick La Pine, CEO of LSCU & Affiliates. “As credit unions continue to invest in their members and local communities, we look forward to working alongside Britt to further enhance the financial well-being of Alabamians.”
“I’m proud to have the endorsement of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions,” said Britt. “In the Senate, I will continue to fight so that hardworking Alabama families and small businesses can thrive across our state, no matter their zip code. I will work tirelessly to cut burdensome regulations, slash red tape, and lower taxes so that Alabamians can seize opportunity and succeed free of government obstruction. Together, we will preserve the American Dream and build a strong future for our children and our children’s children.”
With this endorsement, LSCU looks forward to supporting Britt financially and through offering grassroots support.
“During her time leading the Business Council of Alabama and even beyond, Britt has served as a champion for jobs and credit unions across the state, fighting unnecessary regulation, working to expedite the Paycheck Protection Program process, and creating an environment where all Alabamians could succeed and thrive,” continued La Pine. “Throughout the pandemic, Alabama credit unions were proud to work alongside our federal delegation to save nearly 10,000 jobs through Paycheck Protection Program loans and protect businesses through the issuance of more than $886 million in small business loans. We look forward to working with Britt to continue serving local communities across the state and creating a financial environment where all Alabama families can achieve financial success.”
