ALGOP, Jefferson and Shelby GOP are hosting a Trump re-election watch party

STOCK

The Alabama Republican Party, along with the Jefferson County and Shelby County Republican Parties will be hosting a joint MAGA (Make America Great Again) Re-Elect Watch Party tonight.

President Donald Trump will be in Orlando, Florida, and is expected to air a televised rally beginning at 7 p.m. CST, where he will officially announce that he will seek re-election in 2020.

Perry Hooper Jr., 2016 Alabama Trump Victory chair and current Trump National Finance Committee member, released a statement to reporters about Trump’s impending announcement.

“I cannot wait to get to the kickoff rally in Orlando,” Hooper said. “While Democratic front runner Joe Biden is having trouble filling high school gyms, President Trump supporters have lined up an unbelievable 40 hours before the rally, and streets are already closed. The Amway Center seats 20,000, and there were over 100,000 ticket requests. Workers are busily setting up large-screen televisions outside the arena to handle the overflow. Festivities will begin seven hours before doors open for the rally at the Amway Center and will feature food trucks and live music.”

“The united voices of the ‘deplorables’ are about to be heard,” Hooper said. “I just returned from the Trump Victory Retreat in Chicago where I learned the details of the upcoming campaign. With a war chest already at 80 million, a field staff already in place and a never-seen-before, state-of-the-art data operation the Democrats will not know what hit them.”

Members of the 6th Congressional District and local Republican friends are invited to join like-minded Trump supporters at 6:20 p.m. at Jim N’ Nicks barbecue restaurant at 220 Oxmoor Road in Homewood. Food and drink will be available for purchase from the restaurant.

Other county Republican parties and clubs are hosting their own MAGA events across the state tonight, which are listed below. Additional details about all events can be found by visiting this link.
