The Family Research Council (FRC) Action announced that U.S. Rep.Martha Roby, R-Montgomery, is among a new record of 245 Members of Congress who scored a perfect 100 percent for votes cast last year.
]Roby was recently presented with FRC Action’s “True Blue” award for displaying unwavering commitment and consistent support of faith, family, and freedom.
“Rep. Roby deserves praise for her unwavering commitment to stand for life, family, marriage, and religious liberty,” Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins said in a statement. “Alabamans should be encouraged to know that they have a Member of Congress such as Rep. Roby who has come alongside other members and our president to begin the work of rebuilding our nation, and protecting the very values that made America great.”
Roby thanked the organization for the award.
“I am honored to receive the ‘True Blue’ award, and I am committed to continuing the fight for conservative principles that impact families across the country,” Roby said.

Former Roy Moore aide Rich Hobson, retired Army Sergeant Major Tommy Amason, and state Rep. Barry Moore, R-Enterprise, are all challenging Roby in the Republican primary. Former Democratic Congressman Bobby Bright, whom Roby unseated in the 2010 general election, is also running.
Tabitha Isner and Audri Scott Williams are both running in the Dermocratic primary for the seat.
The major party primaries will be on June 5, 2018.
