Governor’s Staff Undergoes Major Reorganization

MONTGOMERY—Major changes are coming to the Office of Governor Robert Bentley as a reorganization is underway.

According the sources close to the Governor’s Office Jonathan Barganier who currently serves as Senate Liaison will assume the post of Deputy Chief of Staff under Interim Chief of Staff Seth Hammett.

Ross Gunnells, who has served as House Liaison, will replace Blaine Galliher as Legislative director.

The Governor’s Aide-de-camp, Wesley Helton, will take on the position of House liaison and Derek Trotter, who has severed as Communications Director Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh, will become the Governor’s Senate liaison.

Former House Representative Blaine Galliher, will continue as a Special Advisor to the Governor, but will move into the private sector sometime in the fall.
