Congresswoman Martha Roby (R) from Montgomery announced in a written statement that she will be a featured speaker at two important Republican events this month.
Representative Roby said, “I was honored to be asked to speak at both the Young Republican National Convention in Mobile and the National Federation of Republican Women’s Southern Regional Conference in Atlanta.”
Rep. Roby said, “Conservatives all over the country are organizing to discuss how best to engage the public to promote our principles of limited government and economic prosperity. We’re seeing tremendous momentum among young people and women in particular, so I’m excited to participate in these conferences and visit with those on the front lines of our conservative grassroots movement.”
In Mobile, the Young Republican National Convention is hosted by the Young Republican National Federation. Rep. Roby will join Senator Jeff Sessions, Gov. Robert Bentley, and Rep. Kevin Yoder (KS) as speakers at the July 10-14 event at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel.
In Atlanta, Rep. Roby and Senator Ted Cruz (R) from Texas join a crowded line up of diverse participants that includes: Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal, Attorney General from the G.W. Bush administration Alberto Gonzales, former Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, conservative activist Casey Black DeSantis, talk Show Host Cindy Graves, Louisiana State Senator Elbert Lee Gillroy, ‘Paladian’ magazine editor Karen Floyd, Hispanic Political Media Advisor Lionel Sosa, talk Show Host Martha Zoller, Congresswoman Rene Ellmers, Congressman Ron DeSantis, Republican National Committee Co-Chair Sharon Day, and journalist Kay Day. The event will stress Republican unity.
The two day event is being hosted by the Georgia Federation of Republican Women and is a regional event for southern states including Alabama. Sponsorships are still available. The event is at the Waverly Renaissance Hotel in Atlanta near Interstates 285 and 75 as well as the Galleria Speciality Mall. Friday’s events begin at 1:00 pm eastern and Saturday’s events are scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
