Vernon Burns: Class Warfare Used to Divide

Sun Tzus art of war must be the ultimate guide book for the progressive socialist. This two thousand year old Chinese book on strategic theory originated the idea of winning a conflict  through distraction, division distortion, and the perversion of your enemies will to resist. While this may be a fair and just strategy to use in a total war, such as in World War II against Germany and Japan or in the long years of the cold war against the Soviet Russia and its communist supporters, it’s not a strategy to be used to control and manipulate American citizens.

The progressives have taken Sun Tzus teachings about the use of subversion in war and turned them into the base of their ideologies grand plan of action to destroy our Constitution while fundamentally changing the nation to a socialist state. The most essential of all the lefts’ schemes of division and distortion is that of never ending class struggle. Taken directly from the teachings of Karl Marx this tactic uses the most common of all human weaknesses, jealousy and self-pity to the socialist advantage.

In this life one can always find someone who has more in the way of material possessions or just appears happier than you and it is an animalistic trait of human nature to think this is somehow wrong and unfair. This is the oldest weakness we have. Look to the story of Cain and Able. What the socialist progressive encourages is the worst in human nature. They use this natural flaw as a tool to build their own power, through the power of the state, by promising governments can make all things fair and equal.

President Ronald Regan understood and addressed this subject clearly in a speech given on Feb. 26, 1982.

“Since when do we in America believe that our society is made up of two diametrically opposed classes–one rich, one poor–both in a permanent state of conflict and neither able to get ahead except at the expense of the other? Since when do we in America accept this alien and discredited theory of social and class welfare? Since when do we in America endorse the politics of envy and division?”

Almost 120 years before President Regan’s instructive questions to the nation, this same guidance was given to us by another of the greatest presidents. That wise leader knew that, without exception, no one had the right to the fruit another persons labor without that individuals freely given consent. President Lincoln held firm to this and the meaning of the words in our Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal” as he reunited our nation under that most powerful creed. The wisdom of Abraham Lincoln will make us believe he could see into the future and speak to us when he wrote the following:

“Property is the fruit of labor–property is desirable–is a positive good to the world. That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless put down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.”

Clearly the vast majority of Americans, our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, or our greatest leaders do not support enslavement of the individual by the state. But using class warfare, socialists are slowly taking us in that direction.

Divide and conquer, the most basic of Sun Tzus art of war teachings is going on all around us. We, the citizens of this country, are divided and sub divided into groups everyday. After we are sufficiently mentally isolated in our group those seeking power tell us our group is being or has been unfairly treated and that only they can make it right. We are being separated into exploitable units, groups to be used, by income and financial resources, by our gender, by our age, by our racial and ethnic heritage, by our religious beliefs, by our education, and by almost any other standard that can be found or created out of thin air.

After we become tribal, and are thinking only about our group, we can be pitted against other groups and used , through deception, to destroy what we hold most dear, our individual liberty. Division, distraction, and distortion are all tools being used to move us step by step to a socialist state. After we are broken into tribal clans and our focus on our common history and our shared love and respect for our country is destroyed, getting us to believe the lies and distortions is simpler. When we have not been educated, or educated ourselves, about our great history, our foundation as a democratic republic and what this nation has meant to mankind, as a whole, for the past 236 years we can be deceived.

Even those who know our history, the miracle of our founding, and love our country without question, even these good patriots can be tricked. Those who wish to change our republic forever will use any and all deceptions to make us look like fools. they will try to use our passion and emotions against us. Our enemies will put out all forms of wild and misleading stories for us to chase. They will distort facts and appear to be sincere. Indeed the persons spreading this propaganda may totally believe what they say. At best, these wild conspiracy theories are a distraction and at worst they drive away good people who seriously want to help save our country. Do you hear me talking to you Tea Party?

Take heart, we as constitutional conservatives operate at a great advantage. We pursue and search out truth, we believe in and order our lives around truth. We know, in all things only truth can stand any test. In the words of my grandmother who could not read or write, “The truth will stand when the world is on fire.”
